LEADING THE CHARGE

The KTM SX-E 5 represents the latest generation of advanced all-electric mini-crossers, aimed at both beginner and competitive junior racers. Setting the benchmark in adjustable ergonomics, the KTM SX-E 5 is a high-quality, real-world READY TO RACE alternative to the gas-powered 50 cc engine. The KTM SX-E 5 is not a toy: this is a bona fide platform for juniors who are finding all the joys of having a throttle in their right hand without the complications of emissions, complex maintenance, and noise. Whether riding, practicing, or racing, the fresh KTM SX-E 5 is both everything they ever wanted and everything they'll ever need - proudly designed, developed, and produced in Austria.

Features may include:

Drivetrain
  • Motor

The KTM SX-E 5 has a super-advanced fully electric, water-cooled permanent magnet motor that provides 30% more riding time compared to the previous version and peak power at 5.0 kW. The motor continues to boast an extremely compact and slim design that perfectly matches the KTM SX-E 5's minimal chassis. It is also dust and water proof which makes it wear and maintenance-free, while the integrated control unit (ECU) guarantees a direct, but very controllable power delivery.

Chassis
  • Frame

The KTM SX-E 5 frame is forged from lightweight, high-strength Chromoly steel profiles and combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional rigidity. The modification provides more robustness, handling and a tougher rear shock mounting point. The subframe is made of lightweight, fiberglass reinforced plastic, which can be mounted in diffrent positions for different seat heights. This means that the KTM SX-E 5 can 'grow' with your young racer.

Ergonomics & comfort
  • Handlebar

The KTM SX-E 5 uses high-quality tapered NEKEN handlebars. This allows for a lock-on ODI grip to be mounted on the left side while the right side features a throttle assembly with a vulcanized ODI grip, specifically developed for the electronic drive. An additional crash pad on the handlebar brace protects the rider from rough contact.

Software & Electronics
  • Ride modes

A multifunctional instrument display is located between the steering head and seat. Here, the user can select between the six different ride modes. Each mode offers different power characteristics suited for pure beginners all the way up to experienced racers. The instrument also displays the remaining charge of the battery.
